Directions to Lower Caher House from Durrus

• In the centre of Durrus village turn right signposted KILCROHANE.
• After approximately half a mile you will see the Good Things Cafe on the right hand side. Carry on through AHAKISTA and drive through Kilcrohane Village.
• Go straight past the signpost for Kilcrohane Pier on the left side. Go straight on past McCarthy's pub (white building on the left hand side of the road). Go straight past the Dooneen Pier turning on the left and then TAKE THE NEXT LEFT at a Y junction signposted CAHER CILL (you may have to crane your neck to see this sign - it is opposite a Concealed Entrance sign on the right).
• You are now 1.8 miles (2.9km) from Kilcrohane Village.
• Go down the narrow windy lane for 0.4 miles (0.6km) until you see a rusty cattle trailer on your right hand side. Turn right here and we are 100m along the track - we have a cattle grid and gates.
• You have now arrived at Lower Caher House in the hamlet of Caher.
