Private Gardens Open to the Public
GARDEN OPEN DAYS DATES FOR 2010 WILL BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY
There are many private gardens open to the public during the summer months - one of the most famous being Cois Cuain (pronounced coish cuann) the home of Mary and Bob Walsh, near Kilcrohane. This garden of 2 acres is entirely within 30 metres of the sea. It contains many rare plants from the Southern Hemisphere as well as salt and wind resisting plants. It has featured on many T.V. gardening programmes. Gardener's World, The Flying Gardener and R.T.E's Garden Heaven and in many magazines.
